“ So I have seen the inside and I know where it is and I love the old style decor SO much but I have never bought sweets from there ...yet...lol, but that's only cause I know I can get carried away when it comes to sweets , so I try to practice restraint lol but one day a guy came out (I think it was an owner maybe ‍ ) and he just gave me a bag of chocolate covered strawberries, no charge . So there's me with a bag of sweet chocolate things, so of course I HAVE to try at least one of them right? Lol , and they were amazing , sweet but not overly sweet, just right and the owners /workers there seemed SO nice . I Definitely recommend sweet lane . ”

“ Convenient lunch spot to my work in downtown Vandergrift. It's both a candy shop and grill with backless swivel stools at the counter. Chocolate is homemade here and is very good. My go-to lunch is a BLT with chips and diet coke. It is made well with thick bread and crunchy bacon. Hits the spot just right. And for a total with tax of under 7.00, I'm quite happy. Oh, and they have fries now. I've also pigged out on a milk shake here and THAT is the holy grail of the venue, I'd have to say. I try not to order it but when patron after patron is ordering one, ya just give in occasionally. This is a friendly venue -- everybody seems to know everybody sitting at the counter or outside on the bench in front of the shop. The owner/servers are always friendly and service is good. Definitely a neighborhood treat. Can't think of a thing I'd want different except maybe being open on Mondays. It's closed on Mondays as are most downtown restaurants. I just wish I'd remember that fact. ”
